Wedding Day Makeup & Hair Preparation Tips
Come with a clean (makeup free), freshly washed and lightly exfoliated face/skin. Use the products from your typical skin care routine.
If you normally hydrate your skin after cleansing then use a light layer of your moisturizer (again, use the product that you typically always use) all over your face, neck and décolleté.
If you have sensitive skin and you would like us to use your own products bring them with you and we will be happy use them.
Remember to bring your hair accessories/veil with you.
If you have STRAIGHT/WAVY HAIR: Wash and blow dry your hair using little to no products the night before or the morning of your trial (if you know you have time to come with your hair COMPLETELY DRY) and use a flat iron to tame any frizz.
If you have CURLY HAIR: If your hair is curly and you would like the artist to work with your natural texture (recommended especially in humid environments) use your favorite products for your curls and give your hair enough time to dry naturally (or use a diffuser and your fingers ) before your appointment with your stylist.
If you have extra long ( past the middle of of you back) or thick hair (you know who you are) let us know in advance just in case we need to add extra time to your appointment slot
Wear a top/shirt that has a wide stretchy neckline, or a button down shirt or a robe so you will not ruin your makeup or hair design.
We will bring all the products that you need but if you have a favorite product that you love or allergies we are happy to use your products.
Knowing what makeup and hair designs you like is just as important as knowing what looks you don’t like. Pictures are worth a thousand words and Pinterest is full of inspirational makeup and hair style images. Bring those images with you along with a picture of your dress so the artist can get a sense of the complete look.
And most importantly, relax and enjoy the preparation and celebration!
